An after school program isn’t just advantageous for children; for some, they’re crucial. They help in homework completion, encourage good behavior in the classroom, and provide a productive outlet during and after school hours. An after-school program, today, will not limit its focus on academics but with a holistic sense of overall development of the student population.
Here are some of the topics covered in the After School Program offered at RedRose Montessori School.
- Homework Club: At RedRose Montessori School, we offer homework assistance in an organized manner. Our teachers help kids complete their homework by helping them to understand the concepts thoroughly.
- Physical Education: Sports and games are an essential component of school life for every student. At RedRose, we believe that academics and sports are compatible and complimentary in realizing the child’s full potential. Activities on the playing field develop qualities of teamwork, leadership, dedication, discipline, self-confidence and self-esteem.
- Music: As we all know, music is therapeutic. An early exposure to music helps children to speak more clearly, develop a larger vocabulary, and strengthen social and emotional skills. It also calms their mind and enhances their thinking quality. At RedRose, our goal is to introduce kids to the joys of music, so that they can appreciate and enjoy music at an early age.
- STEM: This allows the children to apply arts along with Science, Technology, Engineering and Math by doing challenging or tinkering projects to help them see potential problems and obstacles from many different angles. At RedRose, we help them to come up with creative ways to solve these problems.
